About the Job:


An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Manager to join our Guest Relations Team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Present a professional and welcoming demeanor to arriving customers, efficiently allocate and seat guests, and ensure a full understanding of the sequence of service standards. 

  • Manage customer complaints and feedback calmly and professionally, gather all relevant information, and communicate issues to management. 

  • Manage the booking system to optimize reservations, maximize covers, and ensure efficient operation of the restaurant. 

  • Have comprehensive knowledge of all products, confidently describe them to customers, and take orders accurately by asking relevant questions. 

  • Handle function bookings, liaise with Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams and clients to ensure seamless and well-planned events. 

  • Understand and comply with local licensing laws, promote responsible alcohol service, and make simple decisions to positively impact work and customer experience. 

  • Have a thorough understanding of the brand concept, history, and vision, and be able to explain these to customers when asked. 

  • Maintain an immaculate and presentable appearance, understand the importance of first impressions, and ensure immediate and proactive problem resolution with the support of the Outlet Manager. 




About you: 


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a similar position in a 5 Star Luxury Hospitality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge on Opera system
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and processes
