Job Description

The Assistant Banquet Manager at SO/ Uptown Dubai will work closely the entire Food and Beverage team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-quality environment. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all aspects of banquet guest service and core standards, ensuring the creation of innovative ideas to enhance the hotel’s offerings.
  • Manage the daily supervision, coordination, and direction of all banquet colleagues.
  • Ensure all banquet functions maintain a first-class, positive visual impact, including ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, and service flow.
  • Work closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure food quality and timely service.
  • Lead and coach all banquet team members, fostering high employee morale and team spirit.
  • Create and implement training programs to deliver and sustain 5-star service standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to and promoting health and safety standards.
  • Maintain a preventative cleaning and maintenance program for all banquet areas and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
  • Proven experience managing high-quality banquet operations.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and work effectively with multinational guests.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and event management software.
