Patient Care:
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nurse.• Help patients with mobility, including moving them from beds to wheelchairs and aiding in ambulation.• Assist with oral hygiene, skin care, and toileting.
Support to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs):
• Assist in minor medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse.• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including electronic health records (EHRs) input.• Ensure that patient rooms and nursing stations are stocked with necessary supplies.• Relay messages and information between patients and nurses.• Perform a variety of office responsibilities: answer phone and take messages. • Facilitate and assist in the referral of patients.• Participate in the orientation and training of new personnel.• Assist in scheduling patient appointments and managing patient flow.• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Compliance with Quality of care and Safety:
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control practices, ethical guidelines, UAE regulations, and Dubai Health’s policies and procedures• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols.• Ensure proper use of PPE to protect patients and staff.• Adherence to common safety hazards and precautions and following healthcare facility policies, procedures, and regulations to establish a safe work environment. • Adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance. • Participate in emergency response activities and drills• Any other assignments related to the nature of the job assigned by the management.
