Asset Controller | Supply Chain> Asset Controller | Supply Chain Post date: November 27, 2024 The Asset Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all university assets, ensuring they are tracked, maintained, and reported in alignment with AUS policies and regulatory standards. This role includes asset tagging, inventory control, coordinating asset transfers, and conducting regular audits to optimize asset utilization and prevent loss or mismanagement. The Asset Control Officer supports the university's operational efficiency by ensuring accountability and transparency in asset management.Job Responsibilities Asset Tracking and Tagging: + Tag and register all university assets in the asset management system, ensuring each asset is accurately labeled and recorded.+ Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date inventory of all assets, including details on location, department, condition, and usage status. Inventory Management and Audits: + Conduct regular audits and physical inspections of assets to verify location, condition, and proper use, updating the asset database as needed.+ Prepare and maintain inventory records and audit reports, ensuring alignment with AUS's policies on asset management. Asset Transfers and Disposal: + Coordinate the transfer of assets between departments, ensuring proper documentation and updating the asset management system to reflect changes.+ Oversee asset disposal processes, including decommissioning and disposal approvals, in line with AUS and regulatory standards for asset disposal. Data Management and Reporting: + Maintain accurate records in the asset management system, ensuring data integrity and providing regular updates to the Director of Procurement and Logistics.+ Generate detailed reports on asset usage, condition, depreciation, and availability, supporting budget planning and decision-making. Compliance and Policy Enforcement: + Ensure all asset management activities comply with AUS policies and UAE regulatory requirements, promoting accountability and transparency.+ Communicate AUS asset management policies and procedures to relevant departments, ensuring understanding and compliance. Loss Prevention and Risk Mitigation: Monitor and implement measures to prevent asset loss, theft, or misuse, working closely with security and other relevant departments. Identify and report any risks associated with asset management, proposing solutions to mitigate these risks. Process Improvement: + Continuously evaluate asset control processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.+ Stay informed of best practices in asset management and integrate relevant improvements into AUS's asset control practices. Qualifications and Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in related field: Business Administration, Logistics, Asset Management Minimum of 3 years’ experience in asset control, inventory management, or a related field, preferably within an educational institution or large organization. Proficiency in asset management or inventory control software, with strong organizational and data management skills. Attention to detail and ability to conduct accurate physical audits and inspections. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on risk management and process improvement. Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal departments and external vendors.Qualifications and Skills Preferred 7 years of experience in asset control, inventory management, or a related field, preferably within an educational institution or large organization.How to Apply Interested applicants should fill out the .
