Job Opportunity for Architect (Authority / Project Coordinator)


Education: B. Arch


Skills: Revit Architecture, Adobe Photoshop & MS Office,


Technical Report Writing, Arabic / English documentation,


translation & correspondence skills. Preferably native Arabic speaking with good command of English.


Key requirement:


Knowledge of local authority regulations / portals in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, including submission process and format.


Driving License: Required for the job


Experience: 5+ years in the required role.


Main Responsibilities:


  • As part of the Business and Management Team actively contribute to Controlling the project from initial proposal till BCC.
  • Formulate and execute Strategy for obtaining approvals on timely basis including exception approvals, in conjunction with the Business and Management Team
  • Review Client requirements/ design brief and Provide solutions conforming to authorities’ requirements as well as exception approvals that may be required.
  • Responsible to lead authorities’ transactions around UAE based on project location. Dubai & Sharjah. Abu Dhabi & wherever the company has a project.
  • Support Project leads or other design team members to achieve accuracy while scheduling deliverables with regards to authority requirements and project deadline.
  • Spearhead the preparation / review of authority submissions (online / physical).
  • Ensure necessary and timely actions, maintenance of schedule to follow up to obtain timely approvals.
  • Maintain a checklist of various approvals and NOCs required from various authorities as per project(s).
  • Update team regards existing & new regulations of authorities while maintaining a record of the same.
  • Attending technical discussions at municipalities.
  • Take lead in research and acquisition of all authorities’ requirements per project type.
  • Design review to identify and assure of design compliance with all the relevant code and authorities.
  • Prepare and maintain project documents for authority submissions / approvals per agreed deliverables like client dues, correspondence, minutes of meeting, notes etc, approvals, submission docs etc.
  • Support team in the Development of Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detail Design and Construction Documents.
  • Expertise in Revit & BIM.
  • Preparing and presenting design proposals to the client and authorities
  • Contribute to the Data insights initiative and Lessons Learnt Database of the company.
  • Works closely with the technology team to integrate and automate, authority process and requirements.
  • Prepare & maintain project documents like correspondence, minutes of the meeting, notes etc.
  • Liaison with local authorities and attend to necessary technical meetings with authorities.
  • Travelling to sites to complete physical inspections and site surveys.
  • Assist the HR team in technical interviews during the recruitment of staff in the Design department.
  • Keep on learning skills as per modern practices while upgrading own knowledge base on updated authority requirements & guidelines and share / train other Architects / Engineers for the same.
