Our poultry team is dedicated to delivering innovative products, services, and support to our EURAM poultry key accounts. We engage in various activities such as market analysis, customer engagement, and product development, all aimed at enhancing animal health and driving industry success.
Role:
The Alliance Manager is pivotal in fostering and maintaining strategic business partnerships and alliances between our primary poultry key accounts and various regional functions, including key account directors, operations, finance, and local organizations. This ensures the achievement of all aspects required for the success of commercial alliances, thereby maximizing the growth potential of our poultry business.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support poultry key account managers in building and executing strategic, high-priority alliance business partnerships with top poultry key accounts. Your responsibilities include ensuring the development of key account plans with defined targets and initiatives and building solid internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders within the organization and our poultry key accounts. Your scope may include but is not limited to:
- Enhancing strategic relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
- Identifying and understanding problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information, choosing the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making timely decisions.
- Facilitating collaboration between different functions (e.g., key account management, marketing, operations, finance, and countries) to ensure a unified approach to meeting key customer needs.
- Supporting the implementation of digital systems and other tools that help KAMs manage their accounts more efficiently.
- Demonstrating adaptability, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment (e.g., people, processes, structure or culture), adjusting effectively to change by exploring the benefits, trying new approaches and collaborating with others to make the change successful.
- Identifying potential risks in key accounts and developing mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Using effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions that support specific work outcomes.
- Conducting KA market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, and sharing these insights with KAMs.
- Developing and implementing customer engagement programs such as special projects, exclusive events, and services to strengthen relationships with key customers.
- Establishing clear performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success of key account management efforts and regularly reviewing these metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Accountabilities / KPIs:
- Achieving revenue growth and increasing the share of wallet through alliances with key accounts.
- Monitoring contract execution rates to achieve commercial agreements.
- Ensuring the success rate of strategic projects agreed upon with key accounts and aligned with the business framework.
- Measuring innovation and development, including the number of products introduced and services deployed that support the business agreed with key accounts.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Prioritizing and planning, establishing an action plan for self and others to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines and leveraging resources.
- Communicating effectively, conveying information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listening actively to others.
- Excellent analytical abilities to interpret customer data and market trends.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration across different functions and regions. Building partnerships, developing and leveraging relationships within and across work groups to achieve results.
- Proficiency in implementing and managing digital systems and tools.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic plans.
- Applying creative courage, proactively confronting difficult issues, being willing to offer creative alternatives, making valiant choices and taking bold action in the face of opposition or fear.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Proven ability to develop customer engagement programs.
- Familiarity with setting and measuring performance metrics and KPIs.
