Scope
Effective coordination and execution of airfreight operations and pricing in line with the PSA BDP standard procedure.
Responsibilities
Pricing
- Airfreight rate negotiation with PSA BDP Offices and agents
- Preparing quotation to the client including freight and insurance (if required) and follow-up
- Monitor and data maintenance of quotations and win-loss ratio
- Keep track record for airline contract rates (validity/expiry)
- Maintain healthy relation with agents
Operation
- Coordinating with Ground Handling Agent for Cargo Arrival and Delivery Order readiness
- Execution of customs clearance in accordance with UAE customs rules and regulations including submission of original documents
- Coordinating with customer and dispatch team for cargo delivery
- Ensure cargo delivery in good condition with POD
- On time creation of Job Costing Sheet once full delivery is done to finance for invoicing
- Alert and update the shipment details on the PSA BDP system
Customer Service
- Ensure on time update of cargo status to customer
- Understand customer’s clearance requirement and instruction i.e duty exempted, import for re-export etc.
- Inform customer with the clearance requirements prior to cargo arrival
- On time invoicing of customer, 48 hours after cargo delivery
Qualifications / Experience
- +3 years experience in airfreight import operations with knowledge in E-mirsal and Calogi system and Dubai customs procedure
- College/University graduate
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Software applications, MS Excel expertise
