Purpose of the Job



The purpose of this role is to pro-actively supervise a team of staff on a shift basis, for all Aircraft Appearance activities provided by Sharjah Aviation Services

Key Responsibilities



• To manage all SAS aircraft cleaners activities and to ensure that all training provided is in compliance with SAS cleaning standards, Customer Airlines and regulators procedures.
• To manage and monitor staff levels, ensuring that all RPD functions have been updated within the allotted timescales. These shall include daily staffing levels, leave, absence and sickness.
• To manage staff punctuality protect the companys On Time Performance.
• To manage all SAS cleaning functions ensuring all are completed satisfactorily, and in compliance with SAS, Sharjah International Airport, Customer Airlines and any other regulatory body procedures.
• To manage that all allocated cleaning vehicles and equipment are in serviceable condition and any defects found should be reported via defect reporting system.
• To conduct regularly briefings with Team leaders to ensure that all staff are kept up-to-date with any new procedures or regulations.
• To ensure that SAS uniform and grooming standards are maintained at all times.
• To ensure all staff are adequately trained to carry out their duties.
• To ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained during training periods.
• To liaise and correspond with all of our Customer Airlines, Airport authorities and Police as required, ensuring that all enquiries and complaints are dealt with in a timely manner.
• To liaise and correspond with all of our Customer Airlines with regards to stock required for the cleaning of the aircraft and deal with cases of non delivery or in adequate stocks.
• To monitor and review the lost and found items found on Aircraft database produced by the Cleaning Allocator.
• To manage and approve all annual leave based on the annual leave plan and recommendations provided by the Cleaning Allocator.
• To manage and monitor expenditure relating to ISRs raised for any non stock items. To sign off any new items required.
• To effectively manage all departmental disciplinary matters, ensuring that SAS HR rules are adhered to and that fully completed records are kept and maintained.
• To ensure that SAS HR is kept informed of all disciplinary action taken within the section.
• To effectively liaise and communicate with all SAS departments to ensure business continuity.
• To carry out any other duties, as appropriate, in support of the business activities of SAS.
Note – The role defined here is not exhaustive, and duties and responsibilities in line with the job function may be added from time to time.

Line Team Leader
• To ensure that all rubbish is collected from the aircraft and disposed of in the designated areas only.
• To ensure that the Company Uniform and Grooming standards are adhered to at all times.
• To check the aircraft after each cleaning to ensure that all tasks have been completed as per the cleaning standards.
• To obtain a signature from the Senior Cabin Crew member for each aircraft cleaned confirming that the service was performed. This must be handed over to the Aircraft Appearance Team who is in charge of the shift on a timely basis.
• To ensure that his team is fully equipped for each cleaning task having the correct equipmentcleaning productsgum removerink remover etc.
• To ensure that any additional supplies required are clearly relayed to either the Aircraft Appearance Operations manager or the Aircraft Appearance Officer with as much notice as possible to avoid service failures.
• To ensure that any items found on board of an aircraft within the airport premises including rest areas are handed over to a designated person as per the procedures.
• Control the usage and wastage of amenities used for aircraft cleaning.
• Monitor Airport agents while removing the stock from aircraft appearance stores to ensure this is done as per the requirement.
• Prepare daily allocation for Airport agents at the beginning of every shift as per the roster provided on Monthly basis.

Qualifications



High School or Diploma

Experience



• Ability and proven track records of managing a team of people
• Working to tight deadlines
• Time Management
• House Keeping/ Aircraft Appearance experience would be an advantage
• In possession of a UAE driving license
