Job Description

Certification/Approval, Audit and Continued Oversight


  • Assist in the Production of the Airspace section outputs including, but not limited to certificates, approvals, or acceptances and/or recommend activities related to issuance/renewal of Flight procedure design Organizations, Aeronautical Information Services and Search and rescue Service Providers Certificates, Airspace Change, Flight procedure change approvals, Un Manned Aerial Services Airspace approvals and Objects effecting Airspace approvals, Post Holder acceptances or other products/services.
  • Maintain a database of the approvals, certifications, audit reports and oversights.
  • Maintain up-to-date surveillance audit Programme; cross-check surveillance activities against program and GCAA procedures.
  • Maintain a consolidated register of internal/external audit findings against the section and ensure they are closed.

Document Management 


  • Maintain a comprehensive record of relevant certifications, reports, approvals, acceptance, reports, recommendations and general documents to ensure an accurate record and evidence base.
  • Receive, classify, consolidate and/or summarize documents and information as well as maintain records of documents to ensure compliance with standards and internal procedures.
  • Organize and maintain the section filing system to ensure compliance with GCAA record management procedures
  • Develop and execute a Programme to quality check the presence, quality and organization of approved/accepted manuals and other related documents to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Investigate and research files and documents to establish or clarify facts required to progress queries raised internally or externally.

Safety Policy / Safety Promotion and Culture


  • Assist in the implementation of safety promotion activities to disseminate and nurture a safety awareness culture in the UAE civil aviation industry.

Administration of Sectional Correspondence and Customers


  • Administer the utilization of GCAA assets under their jurisdiction to ensure optimal utilization of them.
  • Support the Airspace team by scheduling appointments, and coordinating arrangements for transport, accommodation and travel bookings to ensure smooth organization operation.
  • Act as a focal point and handle daily customer service relations for customer service enquiries.
  • Give input to received complaints and grievances from applicants to ensure that they are properly logged and forwarded to the department or individual concerned.
  • Prepare draft correspondence to stakeholders about various concerns and submit it to the line manager for signature to ensure that all communications are properly and timely relayed to the individual concerned.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures


  • Carry out all administrative activities related to internal standards by the set policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow Safety Affairs functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


  • High school education with 2 years’ experience in a similar role, or as defined in the JD matrix.
