Our client is a prominent player in the fruits & and vegetables trading and distribution sector, dedicated to providing high quality produce to different B2B channels and client segments. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee financial transactions, sales invoices, payables, and data entry. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient reporting to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 3-4 junior and experienced accountants
- Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger entries.
- Manage sales invoices, ensure timely billing, and track payments from clients.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning to support business operations.
- Ensure tax compliance, including VAT filing and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, and company records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in audit preparations and liaise with external auditors when needed.
- Follow-up with clients on payments and collections
- Follow-up with suppliers on payments
- Prepare collection forecast and cash budget
- Report directly to and work closely with the General Manager, CFO, and CEO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books is a significant advantage
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in the trading or distribution industry is a plus.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- A team player with effective communication skills
Salary budget: AED 7000- 12000
Working days: Monday - Saturday
Working hours: 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.
