Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of our company. This role focuses on preparing Profit & Loss (P&L), with detailed cost analysis. The accountant will handle sales and cost booking, record and verify financial transactions, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in reporting. You will provide financial insights to support decision-making, maintain financial controls, and assist with ad-hoc financial tasks to support the finance department.


As part of a free zone company, the ideal candidate must have experience with VAT reporting, corporate tax filing, bookkeeping, month-end closings, invoicing, and managing salaries.


Key Responsibilities: VAT Reporting & Corporate Tax: Prepare and file VAT returns, and handle corporate tax filings in compliance with UAE regulations. Bookkeeping & Month-End Closings: Maintain accurate financial records, oversee month-end closings, and prepare financial reports. Invoicing & Salaries: Manage invoicing, payroll, and ensure timely and accurate payments. P&L & Cost Analysis: Prepare P&L accounts, perform detailed cost analysis. Sales & Purchase Invoices: Record daily sales transactions, and handle supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Cash & Card Receipts: Reconcile daily cash and card receipts, resolve payment discrepancies, and manage deposits. Supplier Reconciliation & Audit Assistance: Perform supplier reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and assist with audit preparations and financial reporting. Ad-Hoc Financial Tasks: Support budgeting, forecasting, and any other financial tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory). Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and corporate tax filing. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially Excel. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
