Requirements and skills


  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables.
  • Work experience as an Accountant
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software.
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree

Job Specification


  1. Sales Invoicing
    1. Raising of sales invoices from the accounting system in a timely manner according to the quoted selling price or tariff rates
    2. Sending of invoices via email or hard copy where required by the customer.
    3. Liaising with customers and handle any billing disputes.
    4. Prepare revenue reports for periodic reporting
  2. Purchase Invoices
    1. Monitoring supplier invoices and ensure theyre sent to the purchase ledger team in NBO promptly for processing.
    2. Monitor the Aged Creditors report and ensure suppliers are paid on time
  3. Banking
    1. Posting of bank transactions into the Cash Book in a timely manner
    2. Monthly bank reconciliation
    3. Liaise with the bank if there are any issues
  4. Accounting
    1. Manage all accounting transactions.
    2. Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
    3. Prepare forecast report.
    4. Publish financial statements in time.
    5. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
    6. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
    7. Comply with financial policies and regulations.
    8. Attend to audit queries.
