Job Title: Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 3-5 years of experience in the Real Estate or Construction industry to join our growing team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting management in financial decision-making, and maintaining compliance with UAE accounting regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


1: Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Review financial transactions to ensure proper accounting and compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.

2: General Ledger Management:

  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and other accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure proper allocation of expenses and income to relevant cost centers and projects.

3: Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and contractors.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments, working closely with the sales team to ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain accurate records of payments, receipts, and invoices.

4: Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Track and analyze actual financial performance against budgets, providing recommendations to management for adjustments.
  • Support project managers in tracking project costs, ensuring financial control over construction or real estate projects.

5: Taxation & Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by the UAE government.
  • Ensure all financial records comply with local accounting standards and regulations.

6: Project Accounting:

  • Track and report on the financial performance of ongoing construction or real estate projects.
  • Allocate costs to specific projects and ensure the accurate capitalization of project-related expenses.
  • Liaise with project managers to ensure financial aspects of the projects are aligned with the approved budget.


7: Audit & Internal Controls:

  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Continuously identify and recommend improvements in accounting processes and systems.
