The Role
We are looking for Account Director to join our corporate reputation practice and lead on some of our key clients in the region. You will be responsible for managing relations with the client, identifying opportunities to further grow relations and unlock potential growth, while also managing a team to ensure the day-to-day responsibilities are met.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Identifying potential leads and areas of growth within existing clients as well as broader opportunities from a prospecting perspective
  • Counselling clients confidently on communications marketing including PR, digital, social and content creation.
  • Overseeing client programmes and driving integrated campaigns.
  • Taking responsibility for a portfolio of accounts and managing teams, developing junior team members, and line management responsibilities.
  • Directing media engagement strategy for clients and coaching teams to activate and deliver coverage, leading from the front.
  • Strong understanding of sector landscape - energy and industrials not just on a local level, to help inform clients of best practice, share recommendations, and protect client interests and reputation.
  • Ability to develop accurate commercials and contributed to new business development to grow the Edelman business.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS


  • 7-8 years’ experience working with leading agencies.
  • Experience working with clients in the technology sector is key.
  • Experience working in the corporate sector is a must.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in putting together communication strategies, tactical planning, and being the client lead.
  • Ability to foster strong relations with clients, ultimately ensuring work is complete, delivered on time and earning their trust.
  • Writing skills is a given - ability to offer juniors constructive feedback on how to strengthen content pieces.
  • Selling in those concepts to clients and seeing them through to execution.
