Academic Testing Services Coordinator-Part Time | Academic Support Center



> Academic Testing Services Coordinator-Part Time | Academic Support Center Post date: January 2, 2025 The Academic Support Center “ASC” Academic Testing Services Coordinator works closely with the Director of the ASC, the ASC team, and undergraduate students with an Academic Accommodations contract that includes approved accommodations such as extended testing time and reduced distraction testing space. This position reports directly to the Director of the ASC. The Academic Testing Services Coordinator will provide overall support to students with approved accommodations, coordinating testing space, proctoring, managing time, and scheduling. He or she will also assist with short-term disabilities requiring help with test reading and writing. The ASC Academic Testing Services Coordinator will perform other duties as required, within the parameters of part-time regulations, job scope, and the successful candidate’s skill set.

Job Responsibilities



Responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and operation of testing services for students with approved accommodations, including distraction-free testing space and extended testing time. Maintain accurate and detailed records for students accessing academic testing services. Provide administrative and clerical support to the ASC and the colleges/departments as required by the job. Assist with short term disabilities testing assistance as needed. Assist with other disability-related tasks, such as disabilities related research and data collection.
Assist the library with its disability and inclusion initiatives such as: + Support for the forthcoming adaptive technology room
+ Creation of promotional materials related to the library’s disability and inclusion initiatives
+ Serve as the liaison contact for the library with referred students
+ Provide extended services, such as materials collection for students with needs, appointment scheduling, etc.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the ASC Director.

Qualifications and Skills Required



Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology or in related field. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong collaboration skills in a dynamic work environment. Accountability & customer service. Professionalism and organizational support. Teamwork. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Flexible working hours to accommodate student exams and activities, including weekends during certain times of the semester. Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Capable of managing multiple testing appointments with varying times.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills



Experience in test proctoring. External audit experience. Knowledge of disabilities and academic accommodations. Exceptional attention to detail. Computer literate with a high aptitude for technology. Strong reasoning and critical thinking abilities.
