UABOS Turkey LN: Material Control Supervisor

Program Summary


KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.


Job Summary


Performs detailed duties to maintain supply and inventory levels for deployed systems and/or products. Monitors spare part availability, repair turnaround and inventory levels. Answers inquiries regarding order status, availability, required dates, order status and the like. May be assigned to provisioning, inventory management, spares, replenishment and/or return areas. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May mentor/run project teams within a discipline or job family. Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines. Interprets internal/external customer challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services based on industry knowledge. Has specialized knowledge in DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements, advises colleagues on interpretation of standards within the context of Group’s contract objectives. May advise multi-disciplinary teams or run projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Guides others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions. Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by broad Unit/Division/Department policies. Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to influence decisions. May have formal, but limited, supervision of team members at a department level to include verification of timecards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules, and input into performance appraisals. May be the primary customer contact for assigned area of responsibility. Typically requires a college or University Degree in Business related disciplines that focus on Supply Chain, Purchasing, and/or Logistics or the related combination of education and experience that provides knowledge and exposure to the fundamental theories, principles and concepts within the specified discipline. In some disciplines, an advanced degree may be a requirement to reach this level. Typically requires 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Requisition, receive, issue, inventory, warehouse and manage CE materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and vehicles in support of work requirements supporting real property and/or real property installed equipment IAW AFPD 23-1, AFIs 32-1001, 32-1032, AFPAMs 32-1001 Vol 4, and 32-1125 Vol 1, and AFCEC CE Playbooks.
  • Maintain an In-House Facilities U-Fix It Store for Material acquisitions.
  • Ensure materials and appliances are available to meet all work requirements. When funding is available, purchase materials within 15 duty days, and determine quantity and shall ensure availability of special level parts and equipment necessary to maintain critical systems.
  • Be responsible for the Storage of hazardous and flammable material IAW USAF, base, and HN regulations. Ensure operators are trained on specialized equipment.
  • Provide materials required to support in-housework activities. Upon completion of work, provide (and attach to work tasks) a detailed material invoice reflecting direct materials used in support of the work activity, and enter summary material costs using the Service Provider form associated to each work task within NexGen IT (or equivalent replacement system if applicable).
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications


  • Knowledge of AF Supply procedures in Civil Engineering
  • Experience of 5 years with Warehouse Inventory Management
  • Familiarization with safety and handling/storing/disposition of HAZMAT
  • CostPoint Procurement Planning & Inventory Management knowledge
  • RFGen Mobile Barcoding and Data Collection knowledge
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Capable to speak, read, write, and understand English Language “Minimum Level II”
  • Turkish Citizen
  • Have a current driver’s license (minimum “B” Class, “G” is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience of 10 years with Warehouse Inventory Management
  • 5S Problem Solving
  • ISO Quality & Environment Management
  • Previous experience in CE Material Control Warehouse Management

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.


All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.
