At Nike, the EMEA Distribution Specialist for the Supply Chain & Logistics team takes pride in serving the consumer in the connected marketplace – whether they shop at one of our retail partners, in a Nike store or online. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
He/she will work in a cross-functional, agile environment that spans across Türkiye and services operational business needs. He/she will be reporting into the Supply Chain Distribution Manager Türkiye and will work closely with his/her partners including sales, marketplace supply chain, planning, logistics. He/she will daily connect with customers and logistics supplier.
As a Distribution Specialist, he/she always starts with the consumer in mind. He/she improves service, growth and profitability to meet the financial and operational targets of the country, while delivering on Nike’s strategy thru business partners. He/she has a deep understanding of business operations and are accountable for consumer/athlete/customer satisfaction, operational reliability, and improving inventory efficiency. He/she utilizes diagnostic and predictive analytics to make smart business decisions. He/she keeps his/her business partners informed and engaged of risks and opportunities, and he/she actively partners with sales, retail and other operational functions, to find optimal supply chain and commercial solutions. Optimizing and improving logistics processes and execution is a core focus. He/she represents Nike in the relationship with the selected service providers. He/she engages in key projects evolving existing business capabilities using agile principles.
The ideal candidate should bring the below experience;
Previous experience in supply chain operations ( 1-3 years) , warehouse management, retail allocation, or logistics management role within the retail or consumer goods industry
Wide and deep understanding of Supply Chain Management and general business knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate and influence various levels within a matrix structure and multinational teams
Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive a best-in-class supply chain
Flexible on working from warehouse located at Gebze (min. 2 day in a week), resident preferred at Asian side
Analytical skills which support a result driven approach delivering operational excellence
Innovative mentality and proven track record in delivering process improvement
Demonstrate knowledge of Financial acumen, Modeling & Analysis, Order management
Strong service focus and a proactive mind-set
Digital literacy: MS office, advanced Excel, SAP, Cognos, and Tableau. Proficiency in English
Accountable for the supply chain execution in line with business demand and service expectation.
Own, track, and improve Supply Chain performance indicators to maximize service, cost, convenience and sustainability for the country.
Execute the seasonal End to End logistics processes for the country and control the health of the inventory
Partner cross-functionally within Nike (Sales, Customs, Planning, Finance) and leverage the European Logistics Center best practices, guidelines and systems where applicable
Support efficient logistics management processes and inspire change through digitalization opportunities
Focus on continuous process improvement, uncover opportunities on operational level and initiate analytical projects. You take part in capability building across Operations.
Develop excellent working relationships with external partners, understand their strategies and priorities, and keep them up-to-date of risks and opportunities.
The role reports direct to the Supply Chain Distribution Manager Türkiye.
