BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Supplier Quality Supervisor at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities:
· Ensure the implementation and adhesion of the supplier quality team to the Organization's Quality Policies
· Support implementation of the Quality tools and deployment of the metrics among the supplier quality team according to the business plan and their strategies, ensuring a return to shareholders
· Support the plant quality management system deployment for evaluating customer satisfaction and their metrics.
· Support the plant quality system of management deployment of supplier complaints and alerts, ensuring the effectiveness of corrective, preventive and continuous improvement actions.
· Ensure compliance with internal and external customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
· Keep the supplier quality metrics updated to be reported internally or externally for the team assigned products.
· Support supplier quality engineers, quality technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback in problem solving.
· Ensure support of the supplier quality team to SDE group with APQP process as part of the launch of new products under plant responsibilities, assuring APQP deadlines are successfully met.
· Ensure APQP steps are completed and report the supplier's progress/problems on APQP to the BW project team.
· Support suppliers and customer visits as plant representative when required.
· Manage supplier CoPQ for all products in the plant.
· Ensure CPM (Complaints on Purchased Material – Complaints for Purchased Materials) applications are updated accordingly and in a timely manner for all suppliers.
· Report / escalate all major supplier quality issues to ensure immediate action.
· Communicate with external quality assurance officers and customers during on-site inspections.
· Perform other duties and tasks on assigned special projects and assignments not included in the activity for which was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service.
· Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility.

Education & Experience
· Degree in Engineering or in a related technical area
· 3 or more years of experience
· Solid knowledge in solving industrial problems (8D Methodology) and manufacturing processes (required)
· Solid knowledge of ISO-9001/IATF16949 standard requirements, including APQP and PPAP (Preferred)
· Good computer skills
· Minitab user (is a plus)
· Interpersonal Communication
· Fluent in English
