Job Description

This role is accountable for ensuring a robust marketing strategy for Oncology; while the role does not have direct reports, it requires significant stakeholder collaboration across both local and regional/ global marketing teams, including medical, regulatory, supply, and commercial. Also, Cultivates the knowledge of key customers and competitors. Identifies brand growth opportunities. Interacts closely with sales force to make sure they understand and implement the Product Marketing plan. The role is weighted toward driving the marketing strategy pipeline/launch of oncology products and contributing to the achievement of brand ambition and management of marketing strategy. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop a Brand Business Plan in alignment with local, regional, and global strategies. Define and Monitor appropriate KPIs to assess product performance, including sales and team activities. 
  • Drive implementation of Business Plan through cross-functional alignment.  
  • Discover/validate insight and foresight using multiple sources, including accompanied field visits, field force feedback, market research and trends analysis to gain a deeper understanding of patients, prescribers and payers within a competitive context. 
  • Design the Brand Campaign with a different mix of activities, including Detail Aids, Local Meetings, Local Congresses, and External Expert Programs, in alignment with the brand strategy.  
  • Field Force Training on ambition and strategy and ensuring the matching between plan and in-field execution. 
  • Develop external experts and thought leaders’ engagement plans in alignment with the medical team to deliver in-field implementation.  
  • Monitor performance on a monthly basis and take corrective actions to ensure business results are delivered. 
  • Design, plan, and execute an integrated digital marketing campaign, using insight and analytics to continuously improve digital assets and deliver customer value. 
  • Ensure excellence in adapting and implementing disease awareness campaigns. 
  • Engage with internal and external partners to use resources in a coordinated way to develop and execute activities on time, aligned to business strategies and priorities, including internal Medical, Access, Commercial Excellence, and Finance. 
  • Participate in the above country reviews and networks to align the local strategies and represent the local performance and opportunities. 
  • Utilise the A&P budget effectively. Track and evaluate performance against defined Performance Measures and targets.

Basic Qualifications


We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • Bachelors degree 
  • Min. 2-3 years of product management experience, preferably in speciality care areas such as oncology, immunology, hematology, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the key levers in marketing the pharmaceutical industry 
  • Ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams to meet timelines and develop solid launch plans  
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Strong customer and patient focus and ability to interact effectively and successfully across the organization at all levels  
  • A thorough understanding of marketing, market dynamics, reimbursement and lifecycle management (i.e., generic business and pharmacy environment) 
  • Ability to make recommendations in an environment of uncertainty and ambiguity 
  • Demonstrated time & project management skills. Ability to plan and prioritize workload and evolve based on changing demands  
  • Self-motivated, engaged, passionate, committed, invested in the business

  • Well-developed commercial acumen, including sound business analytics, business case development, commercial modelling and forecasting 
  • Demonstrated business planning and strategic capability to implement a team-based performance culture and drive execution 
  • Demonstrated ability to align, motivate, influence, and work effectively at all levels within a matrix environment, coordinating team members to collectively define and achieve critical milestones (influencing without direct authority) 
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to create a culture of collaboration and teamwork that fosters open communication, constructive conflict and organizational flexibility
