• Supporting the ongoing development of Horizon, Lely’s farm management solution, that is deployed to 10s of thousands of dairy farms across the globe
• Obtaining and maintaining an in-depth understanding of dairy farm business processes
• Implementing new features and maintaining the existing code base
• Improving the overall architecture of the Horizon application by for example modularization
• Identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing performance improvements
• Guaranteeing high code quality by for example performing code reviews and implementing unit tests
• Providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• Participating in detailed project planning and design reviews
• Translating functional requirements into technical requirements
• Identifying and disseminating “best practice” in development and maintenance of applications and systems
• Writing technical documentation on implemented features and APIs

• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years as a backend developer or a full stack developer.
• Proficient in C# and .NET development.
• Experience in Angular, Typescript and frontend development practices.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development.
• Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Skilled in unit testing and test automation (Playwright preferred).
• Experience with version control systems like Git (GitLab preferred).
• Exposure to Angular frontend development is a significant advantage.
• Experience of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and secure coding practices.
• Experience in a microservices or modular monolith setup is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to message services like RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus is a plus.
• Experience with Azure and virtualization technologies
• Experience in messaging services like RabbitMQ
• Experience in dealing with large legacy code bases
