With a focus on solving farming problems, Lely has become the leader in robotics and farm management we know today with over 1,600 active patents.Lely Turkey Software Development is based in Istanbul but delivers solutions to all of our group entities globally, developing the farm management software “Lely Horizon” that Lely farmers with over 57,000 Lely robots use in more than 45 countries.At Lely Turkey Software Development, We work together with our Dutch colleagues using new technologies such as Cloud Computing, the latest and greatest JavaScript Frameworks, Machine Learning, Continuous Development and Continuous Integration, Container Management Platforms, Edge Computing, and Automated Testing.Would you like to Feed The Future?We are looking for a "Senior Software Developer" who can adapt to our awesome, energetic team & dynamic working atmosphere.Come and join us!Job DescriptionSupporting the ongoing development of Horizon, Lely’s farm management solution, that is deployed to 10s of thousands of dairy farms across the globe.Obtaining and maintaining an in-depth understanding of dairy farm business processesImplementing new features and maintaining the existing code baseImproving the overall architecture of the Horizon application by for example modularizationIdentifying performance bottlenecks and implementing performance improvementsGuaranteeing high code quality by for example performing code reviews and implementing unit testsProviding technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorshipParticipating in detailed project planning and design reviewsTranslating functional requirements into technical requirementsIdentifying and disseminating “best practice” in development and maintenance of applications and systemsWriting technical documentation on implemented features and APIsQualificationsA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.7+ years as a backend developer.Proficient in C# and .NET development.Strong knowledge of RESTful API development.Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.Skilled in unit testing and test automation (Playwright preferred).Familiarity with version control systems like Git (GitLab preferred).Exposure to Angular frontend development is a significant advantage.Understanding of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a bonus.Knowledge of networking, security, and secure coding practices.Experience in a microservices or modular monolith setup is beneficial.Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.Exposure to message services like RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus is a plus.Must learn quickly to determine other areas that may be impacted by our changes.
