The Senior Purchasing Specialist is responsible for acquiring goods and services in a cost-effective and timely manner while ensuring quality and mitigating supply chain risks. This role plays a key part in supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing. Supplier Management & Development: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliability of supply. Implement supplier performance management to drive continuous improvement.
Strategic Sourcing & Risk Mitigation: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost while minimizing supply chain risks. Analyze market trends to anticipate potential disruptions and implement contingency plans.
Contract Negotiation & Compliance: Lead complex negotiations for supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms, legal compliance, and alignment with company policies. Manage renewals and renegotiations to maximize value.
Operational Excellence & Cost Control: Utilize procurement analytics to drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure budget adherence. Collaborate with finance and inventory teams to optimize stock levels and reduce inefficiencies.
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of a world-class safety culture.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent; a Master’s degree in engineering or business discipline is preferred.
Minimum 7-8 years of experience in purchasing or sourcing within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in casting, metalworking, and machining parts.
Proven experience leading supplier negotiations, contract management, sourcing strategies, and cost analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Fluent in English.
