Senior Manager Engineering - Loyalty Services

Summary of the role:


As the Senior Manager Engineering – Loyalty Services at Amadeus, you will lead the department and teams delivering custom solutions to our customers across all five continents. You will ensure that your teams and talents thrive in an environment that supports their growth while driving the expansion of our Services business in alignment with our technological strategy.






In this role you'll, have a chance to;


  • Manage a large team of approximately 50 individuals, including other Managers, with accountability for the performance and results of multiple related units.


  • Develop departmental plans, coordinate resource allocation, and oversee policy formation within your area of responsibility. Anticipate business challenges and resolve complex issues that may impact the division or function.


  • Work in alignment with the overall department strategy, with limited supervision, in a complex environment.


Specific opportunities include;


  • Defining and sharing the technical/functional team roadmap and vision in alignment with department, division, and company objectives.


  • Reporting on team activities and performance.


  • Being accountable for the performance and results of a unit within your discipline or function.


  • Developing plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.


  • Suggesting alternatives, improvements, and new techniques in processes, workflows, operational models, and plans.


  • Managing the budgetary impact on the business effectively.


  • Timely managing the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries.


  • Collaborating with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.


About the ideal candidate;


  • Proven experience in people management, including managing other managers – at least 7 years in people management roles.


  • Excellent skills in fostering positive team engagement.


  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


  • Ability to develop strong business acumen – experience in the Airlines industry is a plus.


  • Solid technological background, with a clear understanding of technological trends.
