JOIN OUR TEAM



Reporting to the Assistant Director of Security, the main duties of the Residence SecuritySupervisorare to control the access and egress to and fromareas of the Residence Building,which are under Four Seasons supervision.  The Security Supervisor is responsible for task and assignment delegation to the team of officers on shift. This role is responsible for protectingcompany and homeowner assets from theft, fire, damage and assisting in ensuring the safety andwellbeing of all persons in the location.  Responds to a wide variety of homeowner requests by accurately assessing the resident’s needs and inquiries; offering personal recommendations and personalized touches to achieve maximum resident satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.



TASKS



  • Directs day-to-day operations of the security department, working in tandem with Assistant Director of Security, Assistant Security Manager & Residences Leadership



  • Assist residential team with responsibility to ensure the protection of residents, guests, vendors and associates; their property,building and grounds.



  • Enforce residences rules, regulations, and policies as well as the departments’rules, policies and standards.



  • Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the residences to reduce accidents and loss by providing training as required.



  • Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls.Will assist in the Fire Command center when needed. Display complete knowledge of the fire/life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures.



  • Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards.Able walk/run upstairs carrying a fire extinguisher.



  • Implement all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.



  • Share duties in Security Office/CCTV Room with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring,vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control.



  • Respond properly in any property emergency safety situation.



  • Handles all homeowner interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves complaints, assists homeowners in all enquiries in connection with services, hours of operations, key personnel, directions, etc.



  • Acts in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of homeowners and employees. Responds swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situation. 



  • Greets residents who arrive by private car, taxi, or limo by opening their vehicle door andwelcoming them to the Residence. Assists residents and visitors descending from vehicles.



  • Unloads luggage from vehicle, tags it and issues claim tickets to the residents. Transfers luggageto the Residence Guest Services Agent.



  • Assures the smooth flow of traffic on the driveway by directing resident vehicles and taxis to theappropriate positions




  • Provides residents with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and itsattractions. Hail taxis as needed. Loads luggage invehicle for departing residents.



  • Always ensures a high level of cleanliness in common areas and amenity spaces



  • Ability to use variety of IT systems, including Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)



  • Patrols the interior and exterior of the building and confront any situations orpersons that require investigation



  • Takes an active role in the implementation of the fire plan including the GeneralCommunication Center, the Command Post, all technical equipment and the roles eachemployee/manager plays



  • Assists in training related to the emergency procedures.



  • Responds properly in any emergency or safety situation



  • Conductssafety inspections throughout the building



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Act as the Supervisor on duty in the building and forms part of the Emergency Response team



  • AssistsGuest Service Attendants with responsibilities and duties in their absence or dueto heavy volume periods



  • Participates in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of policies and changes 



  • Ensures that the Residential Lobby is in optimal condition of cleanliness and tidiness at all times



  • Ability to read memos, communication log and safety rules. 



  • Ability to use telephone procedures as dictated by Four Seasons standards. 



  • Ability to communicate on all levels with staff, colleagues and management. 



  • Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by the Director of Residences




SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES



  • Fluent in English, written and verbal; local language an asset



  • Basic First Aid/CPR & Emergency response training



  • Minimum of two years’ experience in security field, preferably in the hospitality



  • Knowledge of safety practices in the workplace is preferred



  • Must have a valid driver's license



  • High School diploma or equivalent



  • Ability to work overnight shifts



  • Good verbal and written communication skills is requiredAbility to communicate with a diverse team of employees, homeowners, visitors, and vendors.



  • Computer skills including typing/word processing experience and the ability to write clear andfactual reports



  • Ableto work with minimal supervision and be pro-active in their approach to problemresolution.



  • Able to lift 20-lbs regularly 



  • Able to work while standing or walking for most of the shift
