Job Description

This role will look after emerging markets, regional sites, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), and material planning at once. It has a potential growth opportunity to become a regional supply chain planning manager with expanded responsibilities.


  • Execute supply chain & material planning activities for Emerging Markets, Regional Sites & Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  • Plan end-to-end supply within the 0-3 year horizon to ensure product availability to patients whilst optimizing working capital costs.
  • To initiate, coordinate and implement, all process improvement activities within the responsible site & CMOs in line with the company’s global supply chain ambition.
  • Business partnering with the site & CMOs in order to minimize the effect of material unavailability, minimizing the overstock materials (RM, PM, Bulk/APIs) & FG and improving material planning processes for the regional site & CMOs that he/she is responsible from.
  • Accountable for material planning/purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:


Supply Chain Planning Responsibilities:


Ensure that this role implements an optimized plan for the end-to-end supply chain, with a specific focus on cost, lead time, inventory, complexity and customer service and has the responsibility to:


1. Develop supply plans based on required demand to allow production efficiency and inventory reduction through the following steps:


  • 0-3 year plan in monthly buckets for the 4-36 months horizon and weekly buckets for the 0-13 weeks (0-3 months) horizon in alignment with the site & CMO planning team.
  • Running/Managing/Shadowing RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Planning) for a 0-36 month period with associated options and recommendations.
  • Managing inventory at risk process, running DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning system) for a 0-36 month period (with associated exception resolution and supply plan response for all in-scope products) and being accountable for DRP parameters including safety stock, lead time and MOQs, (Minimum Order Quantity).

2. Drive SCIM (Supply Chain Issue Management) resolution through performance management to proactively identify any potential supply chain issues with the purpose of preventing stock-outs from occurring and minimizing the impact on sales in the markets under the scope.


3. Participate/lead SRM (Supply Review Meeting) with the necessary stakeholders as part of the CCC (Core Commercial Cycle) process to assess any capacity issue in order to maximize customer service, minimize inventory, and minimize operating costs.


4. Implement, drive and improve the standard CCC (Core Commercial Cycle) processes for the site & CMO supply chain planning (in alignment with all key stakeholders Drive continuous improvement and standardization at Supply Review Meeting meetings (SRMs).


5. Be accountable for operating various supply chain processes related to product change to allow production continuity.


6. Be an ambassador for change management and continuous improvement across the Supply Chain while being an integral link in the chain to the local operating company and a business partner to the site & CMOs to drive collaboration and partnership.


Material Planning Responsibilities:


1. Executing/shadowing the bulk/API material planning for the site & CMOs that are under scope.


2. Accountable for determining stock policy for all materials (bulk/APIs) required for the production process at the sites & CMOs that he/she is responsible for.


3. Set boundaries, policies and replenishment models for the material planning (bulk/APIs).


4. Management of bulk/API inventory.


5. Monitoring and performance management of site & CMO material planning (RM, PM, etc.) activities, e.g. adherence to planning parameters, adherence to contractual terms, and overall working capital performance versus targets.


6. Business partnering sites in terms of escalation in order to prevent supply issues, mitigate overstocks and improve processes.


7. Initiate and lead performance improvement projects with site & CMOs to improve working capital.


8. Helps to shape a consolidated demand signal into the global sites/CMOs to provide visibility over the 3-year horizon for the material purchasing process.


9. Lead continuous improvement and value engineering projects with Site&CMOs.


Why you?


Basic Qualifications


We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • Experience within the supply chain, preferably in the FMCG and/or Pharma sector
  • University Degree in engineering, supply chain management or similar disciplines
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain planning
  • Experience within a regional role is a positive
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven capability in building strong relationships with key stakeholders and multiple interfaces
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain
  • Planning systems knowledge (SAP, Office programs, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Customer-driven and excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to drive the business on their own
