We are looking for a teammate with the following qualifications to be assigned as “Raw Material & Circularity Specialist” for our overseas customer. Our client is a leading company in the textile industry based in Spain.

- A degree in textile engineering, sustainability, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in textile supply chains, with a focus on raw materials from the first processor to the finished garment.
- Practical experience in engaging with farmers and implementing partners, preferably in cotton supply chains.
- Strong knowledge of synthetic fibers, ginners, shredders, and certification systems in the textile sector.
- Hands-on experience in developing and managing traceability systems and understanding their limitations and weaknesses.
- In-depth knowledge of the cotton supply chain, including key stakeholders and processes.
- Ability to work effectively with both local and global stakeholders, including farmers, processors, certification bodies, and sustainability experts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address supply chain challenges in a proactive manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate training, reporting, and engagement with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of circular economy principles and their application in the textile sector is a strong advantage.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from conception to implementation.
- Familiarity with industry certifications such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OEKO-TEX, and others.
- Passionate about sustainability, circularity, and driving positive environmental and social impact within the textile sector.
- B class driving license.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To manage and develop raw material sourcing and circularity initiatives with a focus on cotton and synthetics to ensure supply chains are sustainable, traceable, and efficient.
- To work with local farmers and implementing partners to build capacity and support sustainable practices in the cotton supply chain.
- To work closely with first processors, ginners, mills, and other stakeholders in the textile supply chain to ensure smooth operations and traceability.
- To lead efforts to improve and implement traceability systems, identify weaknesses, and propose solutions to enhance data accuracy and transparency.
- To stay up to date on industry trends, certifications, and best practices, especially regarding sustainable raw material sourcing and circular textile solutions.
- To provide technical assistance and training to stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of circularity principles.
- To collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies to promote sustainable practices and circularity in raw material sourcing.
- To monitor and report on the progress of supply chain projects to ensure sustainability goals are met and key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
- To identify potential risks or challenges in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
