Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with both local and international suppliers to ensure consistent supply of high-quality materials. Regularly assess supplier performance based on cost, quality, and reliability while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Foster long-term partnerships to drive innovation and efficiency.
Strategic Sourcing & Risk Management: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to achieve cost reductions while maintaining product quality and delivery performance. Analyze market trends, assess potential risks in the supply chain, and proactively develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Continuously seek opportunities for localization and optimization of sourcing channels.
Contract Negotiation & Compliance: Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring that terms are competitive, beneficial, and in full compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Manage contract renewals, renegotiations, and supplier agreements to optimize cost savings and procurement efficiencies while minimizing risks.
Inventory & Cost Control: Work closely with finance, production, and inventory control teams to ensure optimal stock levels, reducing overstock and minimizing backorders. Continuously monitor procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiencies, and align purchases with budgetary requirements.
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of a world-class safety culture. Ensure all procurement activities comply with ethical standards and safety regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement within the manufacturing industry, preferably with experience in casting, metalworking, or machining parts in both local and international markets.
Proficiency in procurement systems, MRP, and SAP, with the ability to enter purchase orders, track orders, and manage supplier performance efficiently. Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier quotes and conduct competitive market analysis.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English.
