Planning Manager

We are looking for a Planning manager to join our team in Kocaeli, Türkiye. In this role, you will lead and manage all planning and operational activities, ensuring seamless execution of port services and developing strategies that drive our company's future success.

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee general cargo, container, discharge, loading, yard, rail, CFS, and auxiliary service operations.
• Ensure timely completion of operational activities and customer commitments.
• Communicate with agents, pilot stations, and stakeholders; collaborate with customer service teams.
• Develop strategies for yard and vessel operations based on capacity utilization.
• Plan equipment and personnel needs for efficient resource use.
• Evaluate customer berthing requests in line with company objectives.
• Work with IT to improve Terminal Operating System (TOS) modules.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve business processes for service efficiency.
• Foster collaboration with departments to enhance efficiency.
• Lead improvement projects for customer service execution.
• Develop planning department employees and coordinate with HR for development programs.
• Set measurable objectives for subordinates, evaluate performance, and implement development programs.
• Lead management systems, promote continuous improvement, and report performance to senior management.
• Implement and ensure adoption of the DPW Lean working model.
• Ensure compliance with international and national regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, IMDG, CTU, Customs, Port, Dangerous Goods, Verified Gross Mass).
• Report and correct near-misses, unsafe conditions, and actions; lead material damage prevention projects.
• Adhere to occupational health, safety, and environmental sustainability standards.
• Fulfill duties in emergency action plans and situations.

Your Profile:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a numerate discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years in managing port/container terminal planning.
• Fluent Turkish & English language skills.
• Result-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Adaptable to flexible working hours.
• Proficient in performance management systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Team player with leadership qualities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
