Job Description

For our Grid Software Business Unit, we are looking for Part Time Working Students as “Software Engineer” and “Electrical Electronics Engineer”.

What part will you play?


  • Working within SI GSW PTI teams across global locations to design, develop, test, maintain and support internal application software for electrical power system analysis and reporting,
  • Develop Web-based applications and components in programming languages according to the contributed project environment under the direction of the development manager(s),
  • Participating and proactively contributing to project lifecycle.

What you need to make real what matters


  • 3rd year undergraduate student in faculty of Computer Engineering/Science or Electrical-Electronics Engineering (suitable to work as a part-time working student at least 6-9 months),
  • Able to work 2.5 days/week,
  • Good command of English is a must, German is a plus,
  • Hands on software development experience,
  • Eager to learn various technologies, programming languages and Power Grids know-how,
  • Motivation and interest in working on software development for Power Grids,
  • Ability to document and demonstrate solutions and processes by preparing documentation, diagrams, charts and code comments.

Preferable Additional skills/experiences (i.e. is a plus):


  • Software development know-how in Object-Oriented Programming practices,
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, .NET Core, Javascript / Typescript,
  • Knowledge on full-stack web application development and web services,
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
  • Knowledge on open source web application framework abp.io
  • Ambition to learn Domain Driven Design (DDD) concepts.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving and analytical skills,
  • Strong self-organization including ability to work independently and manage time effectively,
  • Teammate with highly collaborative, self-motivated, positive and upbeat attitude,
  • Committed to quality oriented, tidy, and well documented business delivery,
  • Comfortable interpreting and understanding initially unfamiliar concepts.
