Job Description
The Packaging Leader will play a key role in managing the Liquids&Powders packaging operations at our chemical production facility. This position requires a hands-on leader with technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering department (MBA or MSc preferred) to provide both technical depth and business insight
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a chemical production plant (cosmetics, detergent, or pharmaceutical experience is advantageous) and solid background in liquid/powders packaging technologies and process optimization
- Proficient in continuous improvement tools such as 6S, Kaizen, OEE, TPM, and Lean Six Sigma, demonstrating a drive for operational efficiency
- Knowledgeable in SAP production and planning modules to ensure seamless production planning
- Competent in MS Office applications, especially for reporting and analysis
- Fluent in English to ensure effective communication with local and international teams
- Effective communication and excellent leadership and team development abilities, with a strong focus on people management
- Demonstrated success in problem-solving and driving results in a fast-paced production environment
- Must reside in the Istanbul Anatolian Side or Izmit area
- No military obligation for male candidates
Key responsibilities are;
- Production Management: Oversee the Packaging operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and safe production packaginges.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of workers, ensuring optimal resource utilization and fostering a positive work environment.
- Operational Efficiency: Continuously improve packaging operation to reduce waste, enhance quality, and ensure adherence to production targets.
- Health and Safety: Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe workplace.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and uphold product quality standards by implementing and overseeing quality control programs.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including R&D, procurement, and logistics, to support seamless production and align with company policies.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop the team’s skills to support both operational goals and individual growth.
- Packaging Innovation: Introduce and manage new product or packaging development projects to enhance the plant’s capabilities and output.
- Performance Management: Regularly evaluate and review the performance of team members, providing feedback and support to foster continuous improvement.
