Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in operational excellence, process engineering, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum); Black Belt preferred.) or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of tools like Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Competent in MS Office applications, especially for reporting and analysis
- Fluent in English to ensure effective communication with local and international teams
- Demonstrated success in problem-solving and driving results in a fast-paced production environment
- Must reside in the Istanbul Anatolian Side or Izmit area
- No military obligation for male candidates
Operational Excellence (OPEX) Engineer responsibilities are driving efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements in a factory and transforming the factory into a high-performing, cost-effective, and sustainable operation while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities are;
- Analyzing production processes: Identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste in operations
- Implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques: Applying tools like 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen to streamline processes
- Optimizing workflows: Designing layouts and workflows to reduce motion, time, and resource consumption
- Reducing operational costs: Identifying cost-saving opportunities through waste reduction, improved resource utilization, and energy efficiency
- Evaluating expenditures: Working with procurement and finance teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing and budgeting
- Enhancing product quality: Implementing Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects and improve consistency
- Standardizing processes: Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality and compliance
- Root cause analysis: Using tools like Pareto charts and fishbone diagrams to investigate issues and implement corrective actions
