Our Istanbul branch is looking for a new National Project Logistics Business Development Manager to join their Project Logistics team. Your Role The primary responsibility of this role is to lead sales and business development efforts in Türkiye, with a focus on identifying and creating new project logistics opportunities within the Power, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Infrastructure industries. This includes monitoring and capturing project cargo opportunities from the FEED (Front-End Engineering and Design) stage, managing RFQ/RFI processes, preparing competitive pricing, and driving opportunities to closure (Win/Loss). Additionally, the role involves conducting market research to identify and onboard new local project customers, aiming to enhance profitability and expand the customer portfolio. The successful candidate will act as a key player in positioning the company as a preferred partner for complex logistics solutions in the target sectors. Your Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Development plan to ensure all local EPC, O&G, Power & Energy, and Mining investments in Türkiye are monitored and integrated into the Project Logistics Türkiye pipeline.Liaise and share sales leads with other Kuehne-Nagel offices as needed to maximize opportunities.Manage customer visits in Türkiye and abroad for new and ongoing project cargo opportunities.Provide operational supervision when required, based on the nature of the responsibility.Identify and introduce new opportunities and develop strategies for Project Logistics' new products targeting local and global accounts/customers.Understand and respond to customers' urgent needs for seagoing and trucking operations.Evaluate and determine exact cargo specifications to effectively support and manage service procurement.Execute local and international pricing in line with standards and pricing instructions.Consolidate bid inputs into country responses and initiate risk management processes by escalating to the line manager when necessary.Accept and process shipment orders from customers and overseas offices.Provide spot quotations and perform up-selling and cross-selling during inbound customer calls.Perform duties in accordance with company policies, objectives, and Management System documents related to Quality,Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, and Information Security.Carry out tasks delegated by top management that align with the individual's knowledge, skills, and education. Your Skills and Experiences Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Logistics, Maritime Faculty) is preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or the Project Logistics field.Strong commercial mindset with working knowledge of Incoterms and payment tools.Advanced level of English proficiency (both verbal and written).Market and technical knowledge in Project Cargo handling.Project-oriented and solution-oriented mindset is essential.
