National Health, Safety and Environment Manager

Your Role The National Health, Safety and Environment Manager acts as ‘Qualified Occupational Health and Safety Manager’ as required under Turkish legislation, provides advice on QSHE matters, in connection with Local and International Legislative Framework and Health and Safety Policy. Your Responsibilities

• Providing "the competent assistance" role in accordance with the management of Health, Safety and and Environment according to local regulations as well as corporate QSHE continuous improvement activities
• Developing, implementing, enforcing and supporting management systems mainly including ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, Kuehne+Nagel global procedures and local regulatory requirements. Ensuring and supporting integrity of integrated management system including ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 27001, IFS, and Kuehne+Nagel Chain Solutions and Kuehne+Nagel requirements in line with Sustainability Strategy.
• Manage & support an HSE team in the country
• Ensuring that the local processes are delivering their intended outputs.
• Reporting on the performance of HSE management system and on opportunities for improvement to management
• Subject matter expertise for Safety Health, Environment, and sustainability  matters 
• Control, monitoring and implementation of company-related sustainability projects
• To liaise with the National QSHE Manager in dealing with the realization of QSHE Management System Elements
• Preparing  and reviewing periodically local documents such as policies, work instructions, forms, manuals etc. and make recommendations for improvement and assisting the customer transition and integration team on new premises and businesses related to HSE 
• Following occupational safety-related local regulations; informing the national management about safety-related regulatory changes or new regulations that would have the impact on company activities.
• Carrying out HSE  internal audits and site inspections; 
• Reviewing site inspection reports and analyzing for continuous improvement
• Preparing HSE part of annual QSHE report and  present in management review meetings to take necessary actions for continuous improvement. 
• Suggesting, organizing, providing necessary HSE related trainings to improve performance
• Monitoring work-related incidents and injury claims; monitoring their frequency and quantum; planning and controlling related preventive actions against re-occurrence as well as supervising occupational work incident investigations.
• Represent Kuehne+Nagel TR in presenting customer meetings and take role active role in external audits related with HSE, sustainability and social compliance
  

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor's degree from engineering and related departments
• Experience in logistics is highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years experience as HSE professional, out of  5 years of experience as an manager 
• Knowledge in national environment, health,  safety and environment regulations
• ISO 45001/ISO14001/ knowledge/certification is a must 
• ISO 9001/ISO 22000/ISO 27001, business continuity  and security management system knowledge is a plus
• Analytical mindset 
• Safety Specialist Certificate A or B level is required
• Advanced level of written and spoken English & Turkish is a must
• Proficient in MS Office Applications and PC skills and proven reporting skills.
• Ability to travel and having B class driving license
