The Job
The Social Media team is part of the Brand and Content Marketing team for EMEA streaming, and you will collaborate closely within the EMEA team to grow brand and content love across local social channels. You will be the Social Media Manager for Turkey and our leading expert in the areas of: Original Productions (Turkey), Turkish social audiences, Local content creators & events. You are part of the social team Brand Go-To-Market, and your mission is to launch Max in Turkey, build a strong, engaged follower base, and drive brand awareness and love. As Turkey lead, you will own, create and implement the local brand strategy and work towards the perfect split between local content and global IPs represented in our communities.As the Manager for Local Productions (TR), you own the strategy, non-standard creative plans, execution, and implementation of campaigns, aiming for maximum impact on social performance for WBDs local productions in market. You specialize in local trends and tailoring social campaigns to a specific audience for distinct, original content. You collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure locally relevant campaigns.As the Social Manager in Turkey, you’re the owner of and responsible for launching and managing the local social handles and their activities incl. its day-to-day Organic & Editorial content production, making sure the content published represents the communities we talk to through diversity and inclusion. You stay on top of and tap into local trends and collaborate with local partners on events and campaigns. You create visibility and are accountable for local performance.
You own localization within your market incl. tailoring social copy to your market, and ensuring quality post copy, captions, and image copy.
You own and execute engaging community comms on local handles and collaborate with CX to ensure best-in-class community- and crisis management.Your Role Accountabilities Specific areas of responsibility for this role include:
  • Launching the Max streaming service in Turkey.
  • Leading local campaigns on Turkish Original Productions ensuring creative & innovative campaigns from first brainstorm to final report on high-tentpole level in collaboration with the local Turkish team, briefing internal creative teams and agencies when relevant. You work with the social Performance team for optimal performance, relevant reporting, audience analysis, and collaboration w/relevant partners. You drive engagement and awareness through a mix of creative, innovative ideas & formats, and tried-and-tested best practices, and work to elevate Turkish productions across EMEA where relevant.
  • As the local lead in Turkey, you own the local strategy for content creators (campaign based + always-on), cover local events on social and initiate impactful collaborations with local talent.
As part of the Brand & Content Social Streaming team, your areas of responsibility also include:
  • Managing and owning your local Social Media handles strategy
  • Creating, planning, managing, executing, and evaluating pan-European organic social media campaigns focused on engagement, retention, non-standard activations, and community building.
  • Leading social media campaign development for global originals, Sport and other key brand initiatives.
  • Creating tailored, out-of-the-box content in collaboration with our in-house design team.
  • Working creatively with the content of the service to build awareness, drive engagement, and conversation on social media.
  • Owning the daily interaction with our fans, working with the CX team, ensuring they’re informed, engaged, and following our tone-of-voice.
  • Monitoring and reporting on local audience sentiments and trends.
  • Staying on top of social media creative trends and ensuring top level social media marketing campaigns locally and on a pan-European level. 
Skills and Experience
  • +5 years’ experience in social media/marketing brand and/or content
  • Flexible mindset, ready to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Great understanding for and experience working with fan communities.
  • Great knowledge and understanding of our brand and content - and its values.
  • Skills in project and budget management.
  • A self-sufficient and proactive approach to their work.
  • Strong skills in creative ideation & copywriting.
  • Strong campaign management skills and experience in campaign planning.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Turkish & English.  Great communication skills and relationship management.
  • A genuine, enthusiastic, and passionate fan of pop culture and new trends with knowledge and excitement for our content and product.
