What's the role about?
This position is based at GKN Automotive Eskişehir. The Maintenance and Automation Engineer will be responsible for organizing and following up on daily maintenance activities and proactively tracking Maintenance KPI’s in line with responsibilities and key experiences outlined below.
What will you do?
- Ensure that all maintenance activities enhance people's and product safety, product quality, protection of the environment and Operations performance, by providing engineering professional and technical leadership to the maintenance function (TPM-PM-Predictive PM) in the factory.
- Leading CAPEX and improvements projects in Maintenance department . Ensure process reliability during all improvement projects.
- Responsible for ensuring optimal cost, highly efficient, quality and sustained generation for the plant operation.
- Engineering compliance facilitator for process-equipment automation systems.
- Responsible energy efficiency projects of the function. Ensures reliable operation of plant.
- Manage and track all automation system software
- Experience in Information technologies.
- Prepare and update all machinery automation software
- Manage and track maintenance work, update maintenance plans and keep maintenance records by using maintenance tools and software.
- Ensure calibration of required equipment
- Ensure continuous functioning of production machinery
- Tracking and evaluation of technicians & technical operators in coordination with production
- Tracking and management of spare part stocks and take actions for critical spare components accordingly
- Check and plan electrical systems and take necessary action
- Search for alternative local technical suppliers
What are we looking for?
- University degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering or related fields.
- 3+ year’s experience in Fixed Assets Maintenance responsibilities, including machinery industrializations.
- Participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s) (preferably including industrial services supply)
- Experience in Automation and Maintenance (Siemens S7 knowledge, Mitsubishi Melsoft knowledge , Siemens 840D Sinumeric knowledge )
- Experience in field transducers and their implementations. (Know how about profinet, profibus and industrial automation networks)
- Experience in Servo motor controlled positioning systems troubleshooting and implementations.
- Experience in automation scada systems for product traceability used by programming languages (c# and Sql Server preferable)
- Experience in human machine interface panels troubleshooting and implementations.
- Experience in Robotic applications and troubleshooting interventions.(Yaskawa preferable)
- People management experience
- Excellent command of written and verbal English
- Continuous improvement knowledge and experience
- Able to reside in Eskişehir, Turkey.
