Job Description:
Purpose
The core focus of the role is to manage the performance of fuels and LPG Haulier contracts, supporting the Contract Holder and ensuring all transport operations carried out under the contracted scope are compliant with the requirements of the contract, Shell global standards and local legislative requirements. Working with the Contract management team to ensure we optimize haulage contracts and haulier performs in line with expectations.
Accountabilities
- Manage Road transport HSSE activities and targets with the Haulier and ensure Road transport contracts are consistent with Shell Global HSSE standards.
- Conduct regular onsite Audits of drivers/vehicles (incl. vehicle maintenance procedure) to ensure full compliance of activities with local regulatory requirements and Global Shell standards.
- Engage with Haulier local transport managers / DTi’s and promote culture of proactive HSSE management in their operations/amongst their drivers and other staff.
- Carry out Haulier audits (Transport Pillars) and agree improvement action plan with stakeholders including setting of targets.
- Promote HSSE Best Practice and other improvement initiatives and support their implementation.
- Give support to Marketing for issues at the interface of Distribution and Mobility/Customer delivery sites.
- Monitor Fleet availability and understand issues, liaise with Fleet engineer to address.
Special Challenges
- Job requires frequent travel and felt visibility in field throughout Turkish Road Transport regions.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
Required Experience Qualification
- Fluent English is a must.
- Degree from a 4 years bachelors program.
- Experience in Supply Chain & Logistics roles or comparable skill set desirable.
- Experience in Supply Chain through operations or excellence roles in planning / logistics / materials management / contracting & procurement.
- Skill in operational, daily logistics support and trouble-shooting.
- Experience in development and deployment of new processes and standards.
- Experience in automation of processes and working with IT / digital solutions to deliver.
- Skill in Change Management.
- Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.
- Demonstrated strong stakeholder (supplier, customer, etc) engagement skills.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, capable of working with a wide range of people in different locations and across a spectrum of work activities.
