About Job:


Main Responsibilities:


  • Drive the AMET zone legal strategy:


  • Countries under your direct legal accountability: AMET Countries


  • Legal oversight over distributors appointed to act on CHC’s behalf in the markets in your zone. Become a trusted legal advisor of AMET CHC Leadership Team, keeping them abreast of key legal/regulatory developments and trends


  • Advise and assist on a wide range of business law matters such as contracting, supply manufacturing, digital, data privacy, among others


  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely legal services across the zone, managing legal and regulatory risk; enabling the achievement of business goals in compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, standards and policies


  • Establish adequate governance and local legal support, through an external network within your geographical scope. Oversee outside counsel, including selecting, budgeting, managing and evaluation


  • Support on authorities’ investigations and inspections (excluding compliance topics managed by the EBI team) relating to CHC operations


  • Manage CHC third party claims, disputes and litigations, in coordination with the Global Team


  • Wise use of financial resources through budget adherence


  • Drive executional excellence through simplification initiatives, optimization of ways of working, leveraging on technology -if applicable- locally and potentially globally; to effectively and efficiently render legal services


  • Contribute and assist in drafting and implementing policies, providing relevant trainings to local CHC teams


  • Shape the local legal environment, representing CHC in local legal or industry Forums


  • Collaborate cross-functionally within and outside the CHC GBU with other legal experts, EBI, business functions and teams in priority projects stretching beyond your local role.


About you:


Preferably JD or equivalent Legal Degree


Preferably 6+ years of experience in similar roles in-house or at Law Firms specializing in the Consumer Sector Previous life sciences or FMCG experience, preferred.

Able to work effectively within a team and autonomously


Driven, motivated, engaged and capable of managing own workload, with flexible approach to changing priorities


Communication, empathic and influencing skills; must be able to succinctly summarize and present complex legal concepts to business partners.


Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies


Organization skills with an eye for detail


Competent negotiator


Thoughtful Risk Taker, with sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information


High degree of professional ethics and integrity, determination and composure


Adaptability to embrace a dynamic and diverse working environment
