Responsibilities
- Giving accurate and timely advice to the Legal Team manager in a variety of legal topics,
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues,
- Helping the management of the litigation processes of the company,
- Attend hearings and arbitration proceedings,
- Join the negotiation of agreements,
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces,
- Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of law and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function,
- Write memorandums in the English language regarding current legal issues, amendments in legislation, etc.
Qualifications
- BSc degree in Law,
- Comprehensive knowledge on payment services, e-commerce, contracts, IP, data privacy, and IT law,
- Relevant work, at least 3 years of experience (excluding the internship period) in a law firm or in-house in an international company,
- Experience on litigation,
- Arbitration and mediation skills,
- Good organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills,
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures,
- Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation,
- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies,
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity,
- Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information,
- Outstanding communication skills both in Turkish and English,
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
