Your Role The main purpose of this position is to support the Country Legal Counsel and provide legal and compliance advice to the Kuehne+Nagel Türkiye organization. Such matters are handled by the job holder personally, in consultation with the Country Legal Counsel or, where appropriate, with additional support from external legal experts. As the job holder gains experience and demonstrates proficiency, there will be opportunities to assume greater independence and responsibility in managing legal and compliance matters. Your Responsibilities
  • Vetting and contracting of various suppliers (e.g., trucking companies, IT, landlords, etc.), initially under Country Legal Counsel’s guidance, with the potential to independently manage such processes over time.
  • Contract Management: - Providing legal advice to business units or business managers on matters related to the business field (contracts), under Country Legal Counsel’s guidance and delegation.
  • Designing, reviewing, proofreading customer contracts, and preparing them for Country Legal Counsel’s final control, with the prospect of handling more responsibility in contract-related processes independently in the future.
  • Legal Matters Relating to Insurance and Transport Liability: Coordinating and working closely with the internal insurance broker. Supporting Country Legal Counsel in legal case management for claims not covered by insurance, with the opportunity to take on more autonomy in managing such cases over time.
  • Supporting the implementation of model contracts within Kuehne+Nagel Türkiye, with the opportunity to take an active leadership role as experience is gained.
  • Managing secretarial processes within the legal department (e.g., document and file archiving, receiving notifications and forwarding them to relevant parties, communication with external law firms and other legal department suppliers, managing documentation processes, etc.).
  • Entering data into the company systems designated for these processes, with an increasing opportunity to streamline and enhance such processes independently.
  • Supporting the Company Secretariat Process (e.g., General Assembly, Board of Directors Processes) and preparing necessary documents (e.g., General Assembly decisions, proxies, etc.).
  • Supporting the internal implementation process of the Kuehne+Nagel compliance program and rules.
  • Supporting the coordination of contacts with authorities in liaison with the Corporate Compliance and Legal organization.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelor‘s degree in Legal studies. 
  • Minimum 2 years plus post qualification experience working in a corporate company or an international law firm.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in Turkish and English written and spoken.
  • Hands on experience with purchasing processes and exposure with compliance topics.
  • Able to work independently and able to work under pressure.
  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping or airline industry would be advantageous.
