BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven person to join as Laboratory Engineer at our Manufacturing Plant in Izmir.


Key responsibilities;


  • Owner of Calibration process and its improvements


  • Owner of chemical risk analysis and management for chemicals used in laboratory


  • Owner of measurement order system


  • Continues improvement of laboratories regarding safety, equipment and methods


  • Responsible for measurement method development


  • Responsible for MSA studies of laboratory and line equipment


  • Project lead for acquisition and implementation of new laboratory equipment


  • Support in performing failure analysis of internal failures and customer return products


  • Support to Manufacturing Engineering / Quality team when choosing measurement methods to be implemented in-line


  • Support with CMM programming as necessary


  • Support quality engineers with root cause analysis related to measurement systems


  • Support supplier quality during PPAP of new suppliers regarding measurement methods


Education & Experience


  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)


  • Two or more years of experience with metrology, material analysis and / or technical cleanliness


  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis


  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation and drawings


  • Understanding of electrical schematics preferred


  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities


  • Knowledge of VDA 19.2


  • Knowledge of IATF 16949


  • Knowledge in FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP


  • Minitab user is a plus


  • Outstanding communication skills


  • Fluent in English and Turkish (minimum B2)
