Join us as our new Lab Manager, Baking

The lab manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratories, with a focus on quality, compliance, working environment, safety, and operational performance.

• Develop and maintain competencies and capabilities to ensure efficiency and quality in baking, flour analyses and sensorial analyses labs.
• Support and coach lab technicians, test bakers, and research associates individually and as a team.
• Support and coach quality coordinators individually and as a team.
• Organize efficient customer receptions in the baking lab.

• Ensure high quality of execution excellence in the laboratories.
• Support a high operational performance in the flour analyses and baking applications lab.
• Actively participate in RIGP projects (new product development and near-to-market projects).
• Manage equipment maintenance, raw materials, and cleaning activities.

• Ensure compliance with current Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulations concerning handling of enzymes (ZEAL).
• Maintain good contact with external regulatory offices regarding safety and environmental regulation.

• Take overall responsibility for Quality and ISO.
• Ensure compliance with food, quality, and environmental standards.
• Develop and maintain a well-functioning ISO and Quality environment.
• Ensure staff is adequately informed and trained/developed.
• Ensure compliance with current regulations concerning the external environment.

• Academic degree (BSc in Science, preferably MSc in Food/Chemistry engineering technology or science).
• Good people management skills.
• High safety mindset.
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
• Understanding of Quality and food-related ISO systems.
• Preferably 5+ years' experience in baking industry or food industry lab management.
• Experience in baking applications like bread (volume, soft, crusty, and frozen), flatbread, cake, biscuit, and pasta.
