We are seeking an experienced IT/OT Application Migration Specialist to oversee the migration of listed local IT/OT applications and multisite/global applications with local installations to new domain environments. This role requires detailed application analysis, planning, execution, integration, and post-migration support to ensure seamless transition and operation.
Responsibilities:Application Migration:
- Conduct detailed application analysis.
- Plan application migration, covering architecture, technical, quality, and operational aspects.
- Execute application migration according to defined scenarios.
- migrate applications, including user access, interfaces, and onboarding to CMDB.
- Perform post-migration testing in collaboration with business units.
Support Activities:
- Provide local H&F IT support for migrating workstations (laboratory PCs, Thin Clients) (not applicable for remote positions).
Migration Phases
Phase 1: Analysis
- Support the creation of master inventory lists.
- Gather basic information for application analysis (e.g., Responsibles, Assets, Shares, Groups, Users).
- Verify consistency between app analysis and device inventory.
- Update security checklist.
- Identify SCCM packages and their status/progress.
- Clarify needs for server packages and define testing requirements.
- Conduct short knowledge transfers for applications.
Phase 2: Supporting Definition
- Assist in defining necessary application components such as CI Name, Business Approver Group, Resolver Group, Application Manager, System Owner, Business Process Owner, and other roles.
- Define application services, catalog items, configuration changes, and rollback criteria.
- Identify data migration approaches.
Phase 3: Preparation Support
- Onboard responsibilities to CMDB.
- Create necessary IDs, services, and offerings for applications.
- Handle user accounts, AD groups, COA groups, and group memberships.
- Create necessary accounts and structures for permissions.
- Request necessary network and server configurations.
- Conduct end-user training
Phase 4: Migration
- Prepare workstation migration documentations.
- Set up local firewall rules and RDP memberships.
- Oversee execution de-branding and re-branding scripts.
- Complete migration documentation and set application CI to "Production" state.
Phase 5: Post-Migration
- Handover systems to end users/supporters.
