The IT Governance Intern will support the IT Governance team in ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The intern will assist in maintaining governance frameworks, supporting audits, and enhancing IT processes to align with organizational goals.
1. IT Governance Framework Support
• Assist in reviewing and updating IT governance policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation and tracking of governance frameworks and IT controls.
• Research and analyze best practices in IT governance and regulatory compliance.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
• Assist in monitoring IT compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Support risk assessment activities by gathering and organizing data for analysis.
• Help in preparing reports related to IT risk and compliance status.
3. Audit, Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
• Assist in compiling audit evidence and preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Track findings from IT audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain audit logs and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Conduct research on relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS) and their implications on IT governance.
• Support the development and enhancement of IT compliance programs to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to conduct internal control assessments and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in developing and implementing training sessions related to IT audit readiness and compliance awareness.
• Participate in IT security and governance audits, analyzing findings, and recommending corrective actions.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure adherence to governance policies.
• Support coordination efforts between IT and other departments for governance-related initiatives.
• Participate in IT governance training sessions and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001 is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
