Job Title: Hydro-Cyclones Product Manager, METCA
Division: Weir Minerals
Location: Open to applications from Dubai, Turkiye or Kazakhstan

Purpose of Role:


The Cavex Hydro-Cyclone product line is a cornerstone of the Weir Minerals portfolio, playing a critical role in the company’s success. This position is dedicated to driving sustainable growth in input and margins year over year by providing comprehensive support across the entire product value chain. The role encompasses collaboration with key departments, ensuring optimized performance, technical excellence, and strategic alignment to meet business objectives within the METCA region.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Achieve or exceed financial targets, including input/output metrics, product margins, profitability, working capital, and EBITDA, with continued year-on-year growth in product input and margins.
  • Monitor and manage monthly product performance, submit all required reports (including global reports) on time, and ensure accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Conduct training for staff and customers on products, systems, and tools to support product growth, and assist with technical improvements in products, materials, or technology in collaboration with the trial/service department.
  • Research, implement, and launch new business strategies, initiatives, and products, including material or technology upgrades, while submitting 1–2 case studies quarterly.
  • Support sales and application engineers by improving application selection accuracy, enhancing system efficiency, and providing technical guidance for improved performance.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:


  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (specializing in Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, or Thermodynamics) or Mining/Process Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in hydro-cyclone selection and application engineering; 2–4 years at end customer sites is an advantage.
  • Skills: Proficiency in English (additional languages like Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, or French are beneficial), Microsoft Excel, Power BI, hydro-cyclone selection tools (e.g., JK SimMet), presentation skills, SAP or equivalent ERP systems, and Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-driven, highly motivated team player with strong problem-solving, communication, strategic thinking, business acumen, and a willingness to take full responsibility for product line growth and success.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and availability to travel as required by business needs.
