We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and motivated HSE Manager to join our team. As an integral part of the safety and environmental team, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the company’s compliance with regulations and continuous improvement in HSE practices.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the HSE strategic plan in alignment with global HSE priorities to ensure full compliance with Alfa Laval policies and local laws across all facilities
- Lead and drive health and safety initiatives to cultivate a proactive safety culture, with zero harm as the guiding principle. This involves identifying areas for improvement to enhance health, safety, and environmental impact within service operations and office facilities
- Act as a driver for sustainability within the organization, advocating for and supporting initiatives
- Lead and drive the quality management and sustainability programs including ISO certification and Net Zero through carbon neutrality and circularity
- Lead risk assessments and participate in periodic audits of all facilities, ensuring effective follow-up and implementation of corrective actions
- Utilize your proven track record of driving change management in HSE to influence and inspire teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high safety standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in H&S and environmental management and legislation
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety & Environmental management systems and environmental legislation
- Possession of a Class A Occupational Health and Safety Specialist certificate
- Management of near-miss reports and follow-up of improvement actions
- Experience in a health, safety and quality management role, preferably in industrial machinery manufacturing, engineering field, shipbuilding industry, shipyard industry
- Strong mentoring and team building skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to lead and influence a diverse workforce
