Job Description

As Head of Market Access and Pricing, reporting to Market Access, Communications and Government Affairs Director at GSK Türkiye, you will be leading a team of market access and pricing professionals where you will be accountable for developing and executing market access and pricing strategies for new launches in hematology, oncology, specialty care and infectious diseases while managing life-cycle products. In this role, you will drive value for patients, payers and healthcare providers by achieving timely, optimal access and pricing for GSK medicines and vaccines. This involves introducing innovative solutions for patient access and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams in and above the country.


Key Responsibilities:


In this role you will…


Drive local market access and pricing strategies


  • Develop and execute market access and pricing strategies for pipeline (infectious diseases, respiratory/immunology, oncology, hematology and other specialty care diseases) and life-cycle products.
  • Lead market access plans and processes of new launches in hematology.
  • Monitor and analyze local healthcare environment, pricing & reimbursement landscape and market dynamics to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Follow global market access, HTA, funding and pricing trends for best-practices and innovative access solutions.
  • Coordinate local and regional cross-functional local teams to align and deliver strategic market access priorities.

Ensure optimal access and pricing


  • Bring innovative and out-of-box solutions to achieve optimal and timely access for patients to GSK’s medicines and vaccines.
  • Lead innovative contracting, pricing and access negotiation strategies for new launches in infectious diseases, respiratory/immunology, oncology, hematology and other specialty care diseases.
  • Ensure optimal access and pricing for successful launches in hematology.
  • Drive preparation of robust local value propositions for public and private payers supported by synthesizing, but not limited to, comparative clinical data, health economics analysis, real world evidence and best-practices.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (regulatory, government affairs, communications, commercial, medical, finance, etc) on pipeline preparations, launch plans and budget planning processes.
  • Support market access and pricing team on the development and submission of high-quality reimbursement and pricing dossiers.
  • Ensure close follow up of the pricing & reimbursement regulations and changes and assess their impact on GSK.
  • Provide support to the market access and pricing team on health economics deliverables, local adaptation of cost-effectiveness models and budget impact analysis.

  • Lead market access and pricing team by empowering people, developing team’s capabilities, driving high-performance and recognizing achievements and failures.

  • Contribute to regional and global market access communities with local inputs, best-practices and talent management.
  • Build and maintain network of external stakeholders relevant to market access and key external experts in focused therapeutic areas.
  • Represent GSK Türkiye at senior stakeholder level and trade associations and help improve access to innovation and pricing challenges.

Why you?


Basic Qualifications


We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, life sciences or relevant subjects. Master’s degree (e.g. in pharmacoeconomics, health economics, health policy etc) or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ market access experience in pharmaceutical industry and strong therapeutic area experience in hematology and oncology.
  • Proven track record of successful market access negotiations and new launches in Türkiye. Solid experience in innovative contracting is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking, planning and execution skills with strong business and value protection acumen relying on scientific evidence and data-driven insights.
  • High-level stakeholder management, influence and communication skills (articulating complex topics to senior stakeholders internally and externally).
  • Managing multiple tasks and projects while focusing on key priorities.
  • Proven people management or leadership experience.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
