Description
- Partner effectively with the sites to understand their operating environment, and as a result be able to provide value added support to the site managers and their teams
- Ensure that the company has financial and administrative systems that enable consolidated performance management, monitoring and control in the most efficient way possible.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and JV financial policies & procedures.
- Set the targets and objectives that the finance function should achieve in line with management requirements and manage their implementation.
- Follow up on the financial results of operations with the Management Team and, if necessary, to make the corrections needed to achieve set goals.
- Provide business managers with cost responsibility prerequisites and foundations for setting financial goals, establishing budgets and managing profitability within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Continuously keep the finance function up to date in the tax area, transfer laws and regulations to plans and daily operations. With responsibility for declarations, tax matters and possible tax enquiries / investigations.
- Arrange insurances being required to the extent that the company's property situation, liability obligations and risk situation are concerned. Handle claims and insurance cases.
- Maintain the quality and integrity of the accounting, successfully implementing any changes in l ocal or US GAAP due to new standards or business changes
- Maintain and strengthen the financial control environment, considering the company's external auditors and internal audit / SOX requirements.
- Assist other department heads with advice on profitability assessments of new projects, interpretations of performance deviations and other financial or administrative issues.
- Recruiting and developing staff so that the necessary skills are available in view of the duties and external requirements of other departments regarding specialist functions. Coordinate continuous skills development.
- Ensure sufficient administrative instructions are in place and that they are documented and follow the guidelines of the quality management system.
- Responsible for the preparation and filing of all statutory & tax accounts and working closely together with our external advisors
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Delivering an effective financial control environment, with specific focus on balance sheets, cash reporting & collection and overhead expenditure
- Timely preparation of monthly financial statements with related reports and annual financial statements for the JV and holding company
- Analyse and comment on the month end results providing insight into the relevant variances, and in case of deviations from plans and forecasts, propose corrective measures
- Provide expert financial support to the Operations Management Team
- Assist driving innovation in finance processes, support automation of core processes and development of finance systems to provide accurate and timely financial insight to the leadership team
- Close and effective liaison with the offshore Global Service Centre (GSC) to support the continuous improvement of their service provision
Profile
- Graduated from Business Administration, Economics or Finance Departments of Universities or relevant departments is required.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a must.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent analytical skills, including experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experienced in International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Experienced in ERP system.
- Excellent command of MS Office Programs.
- Has knowledge of legal regulations regarding financial processes and following the updates.
