Who you are:


The Finance Manager Turkey is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting of the Global Business Services Finance organisation in Turkey, supervising the local Finance teams, providing advice and support to local business stakeholders and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, policies, and standards.


You will be ensuring effective delivery of local HR services in line with customer expectations and local legal requirements while driving implementation of global people processes and organizational development initiatives in the business


Who you will report to:


As the Senior Finance representative in Turkey, this position reports to the Finance Director for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (based in Dubai). As the HR representative, you will also have a dotted line reporting to HR Director, AMB region.


What you will be doing:  


  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team in Turkey, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.


  • Manage the allocation and utilisation of resources, such as staff, systems, tools, and processes, to optimise the finance function's efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Act proactively as a controller on business processes, reporting, financial performance, and corporate issues within his/her portfolio.


  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports and statements in compliance with local and global accounting standards and regulations.


  • Ensure financial processes and policies are followed, and that finance team members receive adequate training and information to fulfil their duties.


  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local laws and regulations.


  • Ensure deliverables are according to agreed SLAs and KPI targets.


  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the finance team and collaborate with other organisational functions and stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive performance improvement.


  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for finance operations, such as targeting, forecasting, cash management, tax, auditing, reporting, risk, and compliance.


  • Support the Finance Director, the management team, and the Business Units in making decisions on risk assessment, financial exposures, and other relevant issues.


Your HR responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring effective delivery of local HR services according to customer SLAs, KPIs and general expectations, as well as compliance with local laws and practices.


  • Effectively leading local Admin resources to ensure right levels of capacity, competence, and employee engagement .


  • Ensure correct and timely execution / follow-up of all local HR-related administrative tasks (e.g. HR data, personnel files, payroll, benefits, pension, insurances, leave, local employee handbook etc).


  • Act as HR business partner for business stakeholders on relevant aspects of the HR / people agenda, including HR processes such as recruitment, local compensation and reward decisions, engagement, succession planning, learning and development


What we are looking for: 


  • CPA/ACCA/CIMA full qualification


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in management roles.


  • An audit background and exposure to process improvement would be an asset, as would experience in a Finance function supported by a shared services setup.


  • A good command of the English language (spoken and written).


  • Excellent communication and cooperative skills, including cultural awareness and business acumen.


  • High interest and knowledge of utilising technology within Finance processes


  • Learning attitude and growth mindset


  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and cooperate with employees and managers on all levels of our organisation.


  • Structured, accurate, service-minded, and pro-active.


  • High ethical standards.
