Job Summary
Collaborate with the EHS Manager to support operations by developing and implementing strategies that enhance existing EHS programs. Ensure company compliance with local and global EHS standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain and enhance EHS awareness for employees, contractors, and visitors within the company environment.
Responsibilities;- Ensure the facility's compliance with local occupational health, safety, and environmental legislations.
- Support site policies, programs, and permits to work safely and ensure compliance.
- Support the site emergency response and action plan.
- Perform process and occupational safety risk analyses or revisions.
- Monitor and follow up on observation/inspection programs related to EHS aspects daily.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions related to EHS are executed properly.
- Follow up on fire extinguisher device controls.
- Lead, participate in, and support department and site audits.
- Lead, participate in, and support industrial hygiene studies.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement system studies.
- Participate in and support 5S/6S studies.
- Determine and prepare visual materials needed for training and activities. Conduct EHS-related training sessions.
- Support ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other standards of the facility.
- Manage or support purchasing processes.
- Ensure the operation of the EHS Warehouse run properly.
- Ensure the site waste management system is appropriately maintained.
- Manage or support the waste delivery system and control the waste area.
- Track and report environmental data.
Job Requirements;
- Position based in Gebze/Kocaeli, with a willingness to reside nearby.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in various EHS areas, preferably in the food or chemical industry.
- Minimum C class safety specialist certificate.
- Class B driver's license.
- Proficiency in English and Turkish.
- Competence with MS Office.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data management and analytics.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001,
- Knowledge of ADR, IOSH, Wellcome Software, ETQ Software, and MOTAT System is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and conscientiously.
