Job purpose:


Join our team as a Digital Copywriter and play a key role in crafting engaging, high-performing digital content across websites, email campaigns, and digital ads. As part of the Digital Experience team, you’ll develop persuasive and user-focused copy that enhances engagement, conversions, and overall user experience. 


This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for writing copy that not only sounds great but also performs well—whether it’s driving clicks, conversions, or seamless user journeys! 


As a Digital Copywriter your tasks will include the following::
  • Craft compelling copy for websites, email campaigns, and paid digital ads, ensuring alignment with user journeys and brand voice. 
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to optimize content for user experience and ensure consistency with brand messaging. 
  • Write clear, persuasive and action-oriented copy that drives engagement and conversions. 
  • Ensure that digital content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and follows best practices in accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and A/B testing. 
What we look for:
  • Academic background in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. 
  • Experience in digital copywriting for web, email marketing, or digital advertising. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling, concise, and engaging copy that resonates with target audiences. 
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LANGUAGECERT C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus). 
  • Understanding of user experience principles and how copy integrates with design to create seamless user flows and conversions. 
  • Experience with SEO best practices and optimizing content for both search engines and user experience. 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast –paced environment. 
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)


Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.


If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:


  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
